THE STANDARD IN DIGITAL DICTATION - The Olympus DS 4000 Professional
Please contact us for extra information on the DS-4000; we have a demonstration model available and have tested this digital dictation recorder extensively.
By customising its controls and settings, the DS-4000 digital voice recorder can be perfectly adapted to suit your working environment needs - whether it is in the conference room, court, lab or on the move. Its smart, full-metal body also features a compact, ergonomic form and slide-switch control to enhance performance. The use of removable storage media delivers effectively unlimited recording times and thanks to the high quality, high compression DSS file format, you wont have to change cards often. On the 32MB card provided, over 5 hours may be recorded in SP mode. Once the data is on your PC or server, the user-friendly DSS Player Pro software supplied helps to streamline your workflow. To give you an idea of the operation, you simply hit the 'New' button located above the slide control to create a new file, then slide the control into Record to start recording. Editing is simply a matter of moving the control back down to Rewind, then up to Play or Record depending on what you want to do - its a piece of cake! Once you are ready to have your files downloaded for Transcription or Storage, simply plug it into the PC or Mac where the included software was installed and configured, and the files will be downloaded and copied/backed up/emailed (whatever you pre-set the software to do) automatically. Its a great system that is a winner not just because of its flexibility, but because of its simplicity once you've set it up - no prompts, no questions, no clicking - it just downloads in seconds leaving you free to get on with the job.
